Review and export
Select the approved version of every shot before reviewing the whole episode. Export is part of production: a successful download is not the same as an approved delivery.
Review the episode
Play the shot sequence in Preview. Check for missing, duplicated or misordered clips, truncated narration and incomplete dialogue. Remaster projects also support synchronized comparison with the original.

Choose an available format in the studio's download/export interface. Jianying draft import varies with the client version. Keep the extracted directory structure and follow that client's draft-import workflow. Do not move the draft configuration alone and leave its media behind.
Open a draft in Jianying desktop
- In the video preview, choose Export Jianying draft (导出剪映草稿). Download the ZIP package, named in the form
export_capcut_<drama-name>.zip. - Extract the entire ZIP locally. Keep the resulting
export_capcut_<drama-name>folder, its media and its internal directory structure together. - Open Jianying desktop and use the settings button in the upper-right corner. Locate the Draft location (草稿位置) folder, or specify a new draft directory in settings.
- In your operating system's file manager, open that draft directory and copy the entire extracted folder into it. Do not copy only the ZIP or the draft configuration file, and do not overwrite an existing project with the same name.
- Restart Jianying. Find the
export_capcut_<drama-name>draft and open it to continue editing. Check linked media, shot order, audio and subtitles.
These steps describe directory-based import in the desktop client. Menu labels and storage paths may vary by version; follow the current Jianying settings. Do not delete existing drafts or move their original media. The export's capcut filename does not by itself establish compatibility with every CapCut client.
Finishing order
Lock the edit and shot selection before final subtitles, levels, music, transitions and titles. Upscale after visual approval to avoid repeatedly processing discarded candidates.
The feature documentation lists upscale outputs such as 720p, 1080p, 2K and 4K; use the options currently available. Upscaling does not automatically correct identity, hands or storytelling mistakes.
Delivery checklist
- Open the export in an independent player; inspect its first and last frames.
- Compare against the shot list for omissions, duplicates and incorrect versions.
- Check resolution, ratio and cropping on the target device.
- Listen to all audio for missing words, clipping, rough joins or incorrect voices.
- Review subtitles, names and final branding.
- Save required footage and assets before deleting projects, reanalyzing or clearing history.
